Snowflake Race 08'

Just got back and Team Redline made it happen. We took 1st (Jay Eller #105)
And 6th (Aaron Kuhl #101) in sport mod class. Aaron would have done better but had a small issue but was able to repair it on the track and get back to pit to keep racing.

Re: Snowflake Race 08'

Yep, I had a great race!!!! Finished 1st. 150 miles of hard racing. It was awesome. The Redline performed awesome with absolutely NO failures. I got a flat tire by my own stupidity. I came into a turn too fast and slide into a very large tree limb that had broken off.) 3 hours and 21 minutes of hard running, often times running 8000 to 8500 rpm! I coulnd't have been happier.

I was passing Rhinos, Rzrs, Tomcats, etc. Some of them with $40k and $50k in their rigs. It was AWESOME. Mine is bone stock with the exception of safety equipment like window nets, firextinguisher, etc. No other suspension and mods of the such.

I am looking forward to the next race! I'm looking forward to continuing to show what Redline equipment can do.

Jay

Re: Snowflake Race 08'

I have the stock radiator shroud with the small stock fan. No issues with overheating. I would run flat out for 38 minutes running 6000 to 8000 rpm the whole time, pull in to the pits, sit and idle for about 45 seconds (I could hear the fan come on) and then take off again. No overheating issues. Temps were about 88F to 90F as we raced between 11am to 3pm. I also have the aftermarket rock guard on the front of the radiator to protect against rocks and such. Still no issues.

I have also run in 105F heat in Arizona for high speed, extended periods of time, with no overheating issues.

Aaron's rig has an oversized fan, and he had no overheating issues either during the race. Again running high rpms most of the race.

What kind of support is the factory giving you for racing?

Re: Snowflake Race 08'

My revolt has been having some issues with overheating. Im going to take it in tomorrow for the recalls/warranty work which is- accelator(gas) pedel, front left brakeline, and the overheating. I talked with jared at redline today and he assured me it will be taken care of. Time to get ready for dune season!!!

Re: Snowflake Race 08'

Have you already had the ECM sent back for the programming update for the cold start fix? What is wrong with the front brake line?

Re: Snowflake Race 08'

No I have not done ecm but will call tomorrow to add on the list. The front brake line was rubbing on the ziptie which I cut the ziptie so it did not damage the front brakelines. It did not damage the actual braided line just the plastic outer. Is there any other recalls your aware of?
