My son and I had a blast at this one hr long, GranPrix style race. It was a 6 mile long course. Part of the course was run out through the desert, part was run on the Lucus off road course in front of the stadium grandstands. The course was exceptionally well watered,
to help keep dust to a minimum ( Nothing that $15.00 worth of quarters at the car wash couldn't take care of. )They had water trucks running around during the race watering the course. I dont think anybody will say it was dusty.
We finished 1st in class and fourth overall! Top speeds were down ( 59 mph) compared to the Snowflake Race. There were 2 sections where you could get up to speed, One reallly long sandwash and the backstretch going back onto the Lucas course. I havent put in a air/fuel meter set up yet, so my first attempt at adjusting the Big Gun fuel controller purchased form Red Rock Rail had me backfiring when snapping the throttle shut from wide open. If I rolled the throttle closed, no back fire. I'm either too rich or too lean (LoL) Other then the backfiring the Riot ran great. I had a Rzr-S driver that I passed during the race, from the next class up, come up to me afterwords and comment on how fast the Riot is.
The adjustments made to the Elka shocks after the last race are getting closer. The rear end is not kicking up near as much off the jumps and I was able to go through the rocker/whoop section quickly
I'm hoping that everything works out ok with the Redline factory closing story. Mike at Red Rock has continued to come through with all my parts upgrades and needs.
Money permitting, next upgrade is the air/fuel controller.
Thanks for all the kind words and support!
