replacement seat

Wanted to pass along some info......During my winter "maintenance" I found the seat frame and support cords were in bad shape. I purchased an "Autocar" terrain suspension seat from Jegs for $200. It came with a positive lock slide, so I now have a little over three inches of travel, which gives me adequate leg room now. I had to build brackets from the sliding mechanism to the buggy frame, so I made the seat "sit higher" so I now have room to put the battery under the seat, if I decide to.

Re: replacement seat

Thanks JFM......Not a problem. I should have enough material left over to make you up some brackets.

Re: replacement seat

Thanks. So far the local weather has only allowed for "joy rides" but the seat offers support that I did not have before changing, and having leg room is new !

Time and some riding will be true test.

Re: replacement seat

seat update......

I was out riding this past weekend and the seat brackets held up, and the ride was like sitting on an air mattress compared to the old seat. I was riding mostly on hard semi flat surfaces small jumps, no big jumps or real hard landings.
