Big Gun Programmer

I race my 07 Revolt at a local sand strip. The strip is 300 feet and when i`m around 8500 rpm`s it starts popping. What setting should be the best to adjust? Is it running to lean or rich?

I think the factory Walbro ECU rev limiter is 8500 rpm. Put more weight on the clutch to lower the rpm.

Re: Big Gun Programmer

I haven't got the programmer set right yet. Would it help the problem if I got it right?

Re: Big Gun Programmer

If your drag racing, you have to get some adjustable weights and tune that clutch (like has been mentioned). You want that clutch to close as fast as the motor can handle it in order to get the best acceleration and speed.

Re: Big Gun Programmer

Where can I get them and what is stock weights and what would be a good place to start? I still ride up to Silver Lake dunes a few times a year. Thanks.

Re: Big Gun Programmer

You will have to take your weights out to see what is in there so you will know for sure where you are at now.

You can get the adjustable weight sets at thunderproducts.com but before you order, you have to know what weights you have to know what base weight you need for the adjustable set. My adjustable weights have a base weight of 39 grams which may be too heavy for a non turbo setup. You can call thunder products and talk to them.....they have been pretty good to talk to the few times I have talked to them.
