Default Turbo SxS

While looking around on the net, I found this.
I'd personally put the $ towards a Riot...

But might be interesting for somebody because of the turbo motor & the extra goodies, for that price?

They carry the emergency Drivetrain also known as a tow strap.

these are pretty common on the rzr forum. the duners really seem to favor the turbo's and weber swaps. i'm guessing the drivetrains survive because the sand offers some "give" or shock absortion.

As a person who has personally grenaded both a RZR-S tranny and diff, as well as a Riot tranny, It was much more difficult in the Riot... and cheaper... and easier to fix!!!!

Talking Re: Turbo SxS

With all these kits and swaps you have to upgrade the clutch. I've spoken with one of the guys at MCX (mcx-usa.com) and he stated that you HAVE TO upgrade your clutch when running high horsepower big-bore and turbo kits.

Also, has anyone seen the news on wastelandperformance.com? It states,"Be the first to turn your Redline into a Rocket, with 130hp turbo upgrade kit. Kits will be available to ship Mid-April!!"

I'm one of the rzr guys that run the mcx turbo setup on my rzr. I'm currently installing a big bore kit that will take it out to 900ccs. With just the turbo, I ran about 1300 miles with no problems. This new setup will run a solid crank, which should let me spin up to about 8500rpms verses the stock 6500rmps. Clutch changes I've made simply involve using adjustable weights. I think I stock rzr runs about 65grams, I'm currently running closer to 92grams.

The waisteland swaps seem like alot of money, but the guys that are doing it are also selling their stock motors and some other parts to offset some of the cost. Anyways, I'd really like to check out a riot in person. I've always thought they looked like a lot of fun. Don't suppose anyone on here knows someone close to the St. Anthony Sand dunes that would like to go riding with me once they open up in a couple weeks.

Jason
