I had the Fox Podium in my stock RZR-S. My Elka Elites were the first change I made after getting back from Glamis. They were far superior to the stock shocks. That's why I bought them on my Riot as it was far superior to my RZR-S. I don't have any experience to speak of with King's. Other than their long standing as an excellent shock in the race world. Walker Evans were rather well thought of as well, and the RZR-S with those on it in our MX circuit, upgraded to Elka's this off season.

I hope the King's work great!! The more top vendors in our community the better. If you watch the car's flip ass over cab from suspension unloading, make sure you get a shock with rebound adjustments if you run a standard shock. Pre-load alone won't fix that. compression adjustment only goes so far.

I earler wrote in this post that I would consider the King's as I had a bit of frog bump on my Elka's on big jumps. But I had major distance. If I raised my pre-load and compression damping I could land better, but I would fly ass high like all the other SXS's on the track. So, I just decided that 30 ft doubles and step ups just work the shocks good!! LOL

Since my Elka's held up so well, I decided to stick with what I knew and bought a pair of the great deal Elka's that Mike at Red Rock has!! I gotta admit that the Riot with King's on it that Kevin at Toyz sold looks sweet!! I know he did his homework and it should be a killer ride!! That's a sweet lookin ride!! But I had to stick with what I knew!! Elka 2 Stage Elites with damping. Elka is helping me set up my car to 4 corner weight and I expect (like always) to be the course monster on the whoop section!! Always my personal passing fast lane while everyone else looks they're riding a go cart over a farmers turn rows!!

The cost? My old Grand Dad taught me years ago, "You get what you pay for." If King's are your historical best product, get them!! Can't go wrong. Elka just filled that slot for me...... and you can't run two shocks, only a single coil over in BITD rules. Going Pro- in the Riot has its limits, especially in a Pro-Spec Class.

We're all on Team Redline in this forum...... So we have to make sure we get great product updates from our members.

Below is the thread to Mike's Great Deal if you choose Elka. Kevin at Toyz has the market on King's. Both good supporting vendors.

Hey:

Rather than bug Lance during his family time over the holidays, we just hung out with them for a some good old R&R and jabbering. We have made a few changes to the re-bound (all around) and upped the springs (front). So, this weekend we have a game plan and a list of tests to do. Will let you know the outcome. Cheers, Bruce and Cheryl

Definately making progress ... but still in the testing mode. Did 46mph down sand hwy from Store to Krazy Kevin's... not as stable as I would like it.. got passed by a buggy... so I had to pass him back .. ya know!. The whoops on the new road side of the tracks were a breeze.. almost took a nap runnin' at 42mph (per my GPS). Jumpin' is good... but the a** end is pullin half the hill up with it... landing on my belly, but no spine splittin hits. Cheryl & Bruce
