Cool Front Sand Tires for Riot ITP Mud Lite shaved to Mowhawk

Not sure this will work, but if not go look in my album. I put on some new ITP Mud Lites shaved to a Mohawk by Scat Trac, and really like them for my Riot.

You'll find they turn well, but when I tried a set my friend has on his RZR-S (I'm using 2 rib ITP Sand Stars) I lost about 200 rpm on my hill climbs. They are very heavy and are a bit to push through the sand, even for a Riot. He ended up having Fullerton Sand sports shave the "arrow" portion down to a straight rib and is much happier...

Just some info

Eric

By the way, going to be at Sand Lake this weekend if you're in the area!

I haven't noticed any loss of RPM on hill climbs at all. Not sure why that would be different for mine than yours. I have only had 4 rides with the new tires on. I have heard that if you have to many paddles on the rear, or to little, you can loose RPMs. Jared at Redline told me the 10 paddle rear haulers matched with the ITP Mud Lites on the front would be a good match. The jury is still out on this for me!

How many paddles did your friend have on the RZR? We were at Sand Lake Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, so I'm staying home this weekend. I wouldn't mind going riding sometime. I typically go to Sand Lake but I wanna go to Winchester some time.

Hey Steve,
I was running 10 paddle Extremes and they aren't enough paddle, that's why I went to the 16 paddle Blasters you see in my picture. Sand Lake doesn't have any hills long or steep enough for you to notice a change with the front tires...

The RPM test I ran was at Winchester Bay. I ran up Banshee hill twice noting RPM/Speed and then switched front tires and made another 2 passes and noted a loss of speed and RPM both times.

We have a week long trip at the Saint Anthony's dunes coming up in August, but will be at Winchester Bay over the Labor Day weekend. Our group sand camps usually in one of the group spots closest to Banshee hill, so look us up if you're in the area
