I have the Gibson Exhaust and it isnt very loud. I havnt heard the Big Gun exhaust yet to compair the 2. After we have our race at Glen Helen on March 13th we will be able to compare the 2 exhausts noise.

The Gibson has held up so far. They really tested it before selling it. It is also a mechancal muffler. No packing to blow out and replace.

I'd say go with no exhaust. It will be so loud (trust me, I know by experience) that everything else in your life will seem VERY quiet!

I think Jeffpec was running a Big Gun while Jerry was testing the Gibson prototype at Glen Helen last October but I don't remember their being a significant difference in sound levels between the two.

It is obvious that I am a Big Gun fan by my Big Gun exhaust system special thread. Big Gun Programmer/Pipe Both companies have been in the exhaust business for quite awhile and are well known in the industry.

As far as noise I don't think there is any published data.

Mike

Mine are so loud I wake the neighbors up when loading at my welding buddies house at 1 in the morning, but I'm not a good bench mark.LOL However, when I had the regular Big Gun on the Riot it wasn't bad. The custom intakes made more noise it seemed to me. NO opinion on the Gibson as I have never seen one on anything at all.

I have the Biggun now but was just wondering. If it is quieter I might get one.
Ron I think the Riot would seem less noisy because the bed deflects a lot of the sound. In the Revolt it's right behind your head.
