Question Riot won"t start ?

My riot won't start. Battery is good. Step on brake push button and nothing happens. Was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what the fix was ? Checked all the fuses I could find. Help please ?
Thanks

My revolt has a switch when you press the brake peddle. If the riot is the same it can be disconnected so it will start without pressing the brake. Maybe the switch went bad.

You have two pressure switches / banjo bolts for you brake lines located at the master cylinder. One is for you brake light and the other is your safety start switch. There is a possibility that your safety switch is bad. A real quick test is to switch the wires between the two at the harness connection. That connection is located under the hood along the upper frame rail on the left side (drivers side). Unplug the bullet connectors and swap the switches so the the brake light switch is now plugged in to the safety start circuit. If it starts you have a bad one.

I have the banjo bolt switches in stock if you have a bad one.

I would try what I have told you to do first. If you don't have any success you are going to need and test light and/or voltmeter and I can walk you through a few other checks to narrow it down.

Side Note:
I am assuming that you have a good brake pedal and plenty of brake fluid. I have seen a machine that had a brake caliper leak and no brake fluid. He couldn't build any pressure to make the switches work. I fixed the leak... problem solved!

Mike

This happened to me in a race one time. Came in for fuel, engine died. Couldn't get it to start back again. I yanked the connector to the brake switch, stuck in a paper clip, and fired it right up. Zip tied it to the harness to keep from losing it and raced on.

Try the above/jumper idea first. Likely it's a bad switch like described by Mike and others.

Thanks everyone. Got it going. It was the pressure switch for the brake. I just bypassed it and it is working fine. Thanks again for all the help !
