Hey Redline owners,
For those of you that wonder what the temp is when the water temp light begins to flash in your tach, it is 212 degrees. When your engine reaches 220 degrees your engine will shut down completely to protect itself. Bearfoot is correct in stating that the engine will begin protection measures as soon as the light starts blink and you will lose performance. Mike |

Update:
I ran the Dunes at Sand Hollow, with the new fan set up. It was 101F that day. I was running my new Paddle tires, so the engine was working hard. The sand was dry and soft. No warning lights or problems. My Temperature gauge was between 160F to 195F. The new fan is very quiet. When it came on I could watch the gauge drop to 160F, then the fan shuts off. I'll be at the Little Sahara Sand Dunes, on July 13. Air temp's should be in the low 90's. I'll report back on how it worked out.
